Virgin Media Super hub driving me mad!!

I wish I never upgraded :mad:
two hubs later and still not working.....third on the way!!! I have followed the virgin media forum pages and DH set the box to modem only and fitted our own router........worked fine for a while. Rang and spoke to someone who said they are laying more cables in our area and that they are aware there are issues and if we ring at the end of Nov they will give us our money back!!! yeah ............. subsequent call they do not admit there is a fault in our area :mad::mad::mad: went to someone last night who said I would have to ring today
been on hold 1 hour five mins.............can't even cancel :mad::mad::mad:

You've been fobbed off,if that was the case,other people would be affected both TV & BBand service.
Can you use the internet thru the modem OK without the Hub?..Does the Online/Internet light go off when the hub/router doesn't work.
Simple test,if you have VM Digital TV,try & use the interactive.If that's OK,then the's no problem with the service,it's the Hub itself,I gather the are a lot of issues with these superhubs anyway.
You really need a service tech out to check the forward/return path,connections & signal strength.0 -
hi, hubby has done all the tech stuff. He does it as part of his job and it is the hub. We have been through the VM forum pages and there are a lot of people with the same problem. Last night the man admitted there are a lot of people with the same problem and to ring the customer relations team. This is why I have spent over an hour trying to get through!!!. We are now back to using our own router and the hub as a modem only which seemed to cure for a few days but now we are back to having to switch it on/off. We do not watch TV but have a tivo box (not plugged in) but hubby installed it to test the internet connection and that works fine (it worked out cheaper to have all three on an offer lol)
Basically the bloke said there is nothing they can do but send another hub and hopefully we will eventually get a good batch!!! They all say something different. I worked in customer service for years and hate people shouting/getting mad but when you have been on hold for so long it makes you want to scream ( I do not do this at the person lol )
They have no different models and the few old modems they had have gone to people that have had this problem before us and now there are none left. How bad is it that you have to beg for an old machine???
Just had a parcel delivered and the postman is having the same problem :rotfl:0
