Phones2udirect cashback problem!

Hi all,

I'm yet another person facing problems with Phones2udirect cashbacks.

Here's my problem: it's about the 14 or 21 day time-limit (from the date of the invoice) for posting cashback claims.

I hope you can advise!



I bought my phone in early May 2006 - £45 a month contract for 12 months. I wasn't sure what the precise time-limit was for receipt of my claim, but since I had plenty of time, I knew I could always check the Phones2u website's T&C for this.

But it looks like Phones2u have been CHANGING their T&C. I read Reestit Mutton's post (link below) which shows the changes made in 17 May 2006.

It seems that, when I actually bought the phone, the time limit for receipt was 14 days. When I actually checked the website's T&C to get the precise figure (sometime in late May or June) to confirm what the time limit was, it read 21 days. Therefore, I thought I had 21 days to send in my claim form.

I sent my claim in, and it's just been rejected on the 14-day basis.

And yet I had no idea that the T&C had changed from what it was previously, because the Phones2u website gives no indication of this. Anyone who checks back on their website to see what their requirements are will therefore be completely misled. There is simply no notice given that different T&C will apply to different people depending on when they bought their phone.

Any ideas as to what I can do?
