How to set up new laptop & braodband please??

Hi All!

I've got to help a friend set up his new BT broadband, now his old Orange connection at home has finished.

He still has his PC, but wants to only use his new laptop.

The starter pack from BT has been delivered & the laptop is un-opened so far!

Not done this before, so before we start, wondered if you'd be good enough to help me through 'what to do' to so as not to get in too much of a mess, please!!

Thanks in advance!

VB

You need to set up the laptop first, just switch on and proceed to set up a user account etc.
The HomeHub is very simple, you'll just need to have the BT username/password and the phone number to set it up by running it from the supplied CD.
Set it up initially using ethernet and then get the wireless side going if required.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
