  • Morning all,

I'm slightly confused, am i in the right place today???

It's very cold today and the sky is looking scarily white :o

It's mum's bday today, I've bought her a new bake stone lol, she accidently took the last one to the skip during the kitchen clear out, she was not impressed lol, although I know what's she going to say about it " thanks love, but they just don't make things like they used to" :D

I have just spent the best part of an hour on the phone to one of those stupid company's where you can check your credit score
I was curious last night so signed up for 30 free trial, then recieved an email "Thank you for signing up £69.99 had been taken for payment" !!!!!!???? Of course conviently they were closed last night, but after a few not so nice words and the most annoying hold music EVER, I got my refund and cancelled everything!! They admitted there was an error on their site which when you click free trial it goes onto the subscription page, I just hope not to many other people have been caught out without realising.

In other news, wm on & kitchen cleaned down, HM stew for tea tonight, made it yesterday so it should be scrummy later :)
Stuck in waiting for a parcel so will attempt to clean front room, bedrooms & bathroom, foot permitting of course :rotfl:

Have a great day all xxx

  • Hi everyone

well, I am back on the waggon definitely - mainly because I feel pretty awful after FOUR glasses of wine last night! They were small ones but even so!

I want to have a nice productive day - yesterday was just one of those days where everything became hard work and I ended up not achieving very much!

So, today - DW all done before work and food plan/shopping list prepared. I have brought pasta in for my lunch and am having soup tonight. I plan to do some ironing tonight and perhaps some cleaning tomorrow night - I have a busy weekend planned so it would be good to get some of my jobs out of the way!

Best wishes to the poorly ones! Great news about the 3 years remission!

    Have a good day all.
    xxx

wow its cold today , i am NOT putting the heating on , im going to dig out a couple of fleeces to stop the girls grumbling :D

got a chilli bubbling away in the SC so that will blow their socks off later ;)

done quite a bit of overtime this last 2 weeks which will come in very handy for xmas, although i am £70 lighter thanks to a bin lorry reversing into my car and cracking the windscreen ( cant prove it though )

DD2 will be 16 next week so i need to sort some pressies for her ( although she would like money i like to give her a couple of small presents to open)

right off to make some potato wedges to go with the chilli
  • Evening all

(((hugs))), happy birthday, spoons all round where needed!

Busy day, had day off so me and girls went to Cardiff for the day to meet our friend with the baby. We had a nice lunch, little wander round shops and coffee. It was lovely to see the baby, she has grown loads, and I think my friend appreciated the adult company!

Then dashed back to have a Minx pedicure (it's a foil transfer that lasts 4-5weeks). it's flatmate's birthday tomorrow so I paid for hers as a gift.

And now we are off to pub for food and to do the pub quiz. Flakey friend is coming too so will be nice to catch up. although I'm exhausted!!

I probably won't post tomorrow - am on First Aid course all day then off out for flatmates bday (meal, theatre and drinks!!).

    !!!!!! all OS today! :o

    Have a good evening all

Evening ladies, Swimming went well, was very self concious at first but I was in no means the largest lady there:o. Had a laugh and a half with them, felt like a school girl giggling ;)
Came home and dd had put the potatoes in the oven , prepared a huge salad and was doing steak for 4 on the george, it was delish didn't miss the steak at all, i had cottage cheese with mine. She made an apple crumble and they had it with cream.........mouth did drool a bit but managed to resist the temptation.
So stuffed now, going to go and crawl into the bath and then jimjams on:o, get dd to dry and straighten my hair then off to bed for another early night. Night all:)

    Hi all,

Glad to say that some of the get up and go has come back...just got to read now so will just wish JackieO, JackieG and all her family, BB and Beth all the best and big hugs.

Trust that normal service will resume shortly....Aussie cousin still here and seems to take up quite a lot of my time, we get on well and I do only see him once a year so the catching up takes some doing!

Sleep well and stay safe everybody.
