Good morning all, I'm on here early today, got my cuppa and am in work awaiting the hoardes (fingers crossed) otherwise I'm all alone again. :D

Its a bit dull here, not cold but dreary, one of those miserable days where you don't know what to do.

HM sarnies brought in again and it will be freezer stuff for tea today. Its my last day at work for the week so all my washing and cleaning will be started tomorrow as normal. Will be making a hm loaf tonight too.

JackieG - really sorry to hear about your bil. I heard bad news about a friend of mine this week where the second lot of drugs have found not to be working and this has resulted in my friend now starting to lose her sight and she can no longer walk very well because the c has spread into her spine. The worst thing I find is that I don't know what to say to her. I feel so useless because nothing I can say or do will help her to feel better and I end up at home feeling so upset and angry that it is always the nice people that these things happen to! She is a single mum and has two lovely kids who will lose her. Oooo if only I could win one of those large amounts of money on the Lottery, I know where it would all go for a start!

JackieO - I'm glad you did get sorted finally, look after yourself. I would nag my mum too. :D

Anyway, best wishes to all that need them today.

    Take it easy.

  • Good morning all

Have been mia due to OH's birthday celebrations over the weekend. And the fun continues as his birthday is not until tomorrow. He had a train driving experience on Saturday at the South Devon Railway and loved it. We went with friends and spent the day riding behind him and the other 3 train drivers. They took it in turns to drive and fire in pairs. We had a special train just for us all. :D

On Sunday we are off on holiday to Lanzarote to the Lanzarote Princess in Playa Blanca not very OS but OH is only 60 once and I wanted him to have a good time. He loves Playa Blanca and can spend hours watching the ferries to Fuertaventura. :rotfl:And strolling along the paseo maritimo.......

Well I'm using up things from the freezer as we are being frugal in other ways and will put the washing on the line to dry in a minute. After that I'm going into town to get him a birthday card and some bit and pieces.

And then I am going to try my hand at making one of those photobooks on line from the pictures that we all took.

((Hugs)) to the Jackies and Beththebee and anyone else who needs them.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all!
WM number 3 is nearly finished, trying to empty the baskets today so that kids have plenty clothes , they are unlikely to wash clothes whilst we are away, if last return from holibobs is a typical example! Found my swimsuits in a pile this morning, so much for being packed and ready to go!!!
Am waiting for the man to come this morning to do something to my fridge freezer to make it safe, only been waiting since July, I take it the manufacturers dont think its that likely to burst into flames!
Oh well, will finish packing and tidying, and hope the washing dries, although its a bit dreich here in Glasgow this morning. Have a good day all, and big hugs where needed!

Happy 70th Birthday tapladys mum.Have a lovely day:)
Was so tired yesterday , was in bed by half 7:eek::eek:. Slept until just gone 6 this morn, must have needed it , reckon it could be an early night again tonight for me.
Its drizzling here atm so not put any washing in as looks as if it could be in for the day:mad:
Going to join the 'older ladies' swimming this afternoon. This is my first decision in the battle of the bulge, not to sure whether to do weight watchers or slimming world at the moment. So am going to research both of them this am and decide from there. Dinner tonight is a jacket pot with a salad for me and with steak and salad for the boys and dd.Must give the kitchen a good clean as well , its looking grubby:o:o. Have also got to do a months meal planning from freezer and stocks as want to spend the bare minimum next month shopping so can go and spend a weekend in Swansea with ds2.We will be more than able to do this challenge just buying milk and fresh fruit and veggies.
All for now , off to have another coffee to try and try to give myself a bit more get and and go.;)
    Lovely day for all peeps:)

    Morning all,
I've caught up with the last few days posts but as my brain is fuzzy and I'm away with the faries I can't remember much thanks to Tramadol, Voltarol and Trimethoprim.
DD2 & DGD2 came to see me last night and gave me a huge bouquet and a box of chocs, she has been so worried about me, bless her, she is a wonderful daughter and a very good friend. I am privileged.
I showed DH how to do the BM, he's so pleased with himself making his first loaf. He's done 2 loads of washing, 1st lot is hanging out. I can sort out lots of paperwork whilst I'm not able to move around, might make a start on our tax returns, a job I hate.
(((( Hugs to Jackies )))) and anyone else in need.
