Tesco 'pound shop'.

I have just been to Tesco at Hookwood ( near Gatwick Airport ) and asked about the £1 sale. To be told by a store worker that all that is left is what is in the 2 bins ( not much ). They then told me that about midnight the other day 3 to 4 vans pulled up in the car park and waited till after midnight when the sale began, they then came into the shop and took everything boys, girls, mens, womens, suits, jumpers, shirts, coats, etc etc etc all sizes they just emptied the rails without looking they took the lot.
The person then told me that they heard that it also happend at Crawley Hazelwick, Horsham and the Horley shops.
And the last this they said to me was and I quote " they were not of the English persuation" their words not mine.

Been to our local store this morning and the £1 rails have gone! they do still have a few sale rails up saying upto 75% & 25% off and a bin full of hats.
I went through the men's jeans and managed to find a pair that scanned at a £1 so I am sure they have other items on the sale rails that do scan @ a £1 but I hadn't got time to go through them this morning, might nip back later after I have picked DS up from School... x

Nothing in my local store (Hemel - Jarmans) but then they have been refurbushing for months and the clothing dept is in a shed out the back so I'm not really surprised.

I looked at the one in town yesterday,the odd belt ,that was about it ,scanned a few oddments just in case but were scanning higher than the reduced price said ,total rubbish ,would not waste my time looking again

My wife was in Tesco Extra in Huntingdon yesterday &, although she wasn't looking for anything other than torches, she didn't notice the £1 deals. Anybody know if the deal may have finished there?

got a pair of jeans last night. Marked as 30" waist but took a gamble as the inclusive belt was worht a quid. What luck - they are a perfect fit and I take 32" waist. I think all the other jeans that were left were marked something like 40"!

the £1 sale ends on the 23rd october. ours in now a pile of hats and odd slippers in a big basket at the end of the clothes aisle.

Lets face it, very few of us actually really NEED more clothes. We just want them!

i think its bad loads of staff came off tills near me to buy all bargains and customers couldnt get near!
2 days after rail of things came out and 1 customer bought at least 10 jackets and all jeans
