Free £5 train freebie

Bit disappointed I have to miss out on this.
I'm one of the masses that doesn't have personal internet access during the 9 to 5 (8 - 6 for me personally)
Releasing the freebie at the same time on both days is unhelpful. Any chance the next freebie, if released over 2 days, could be 1 during working hours and 1 outside the 9-5 please?
Be a little bit fairer for those of us who cannot be glued to MSE all day.

I don't get the email until 10pm on the 13th so I miss out on this stuff, not fair Grrrrrrr!!!!! Booo-Hoooo!!!0

I have never subscribed to the email and very seldom read it online these days but when I did, I remember doing so on a Tuesday evening before it was even sent out to subscribers, I don't know if this is still able to be done but it might have helped in your case.0

Even those of us who are glued didn't all get one!
It took me over an hour to finally register- then tells me there is an error verifying my details - a day later finally sends me a welcome email (so I couldnt even try and reregister for the second lot of vouchers) and then for a day tells me to check back later for loyalty points - then I check again today and still zerovery disappointed, I'm staying with thetrainline.com!

Hi bylromarha
That makes complete sense. We really don't like excluding anyone from offers, so we sometimes give an advance heads up in the email as with this one.
The difficulty is, it needs to be done not only during MSE office hours, but also during the hours the offer company's staff are there in case there's an issue and we need to talk to them.
If there were a glitch at, say, 9pm at night finding out what's happening, waiting for them to fix it, and then letting people know what was going on would be much harder.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

I hope you don't really buy tickets from TheTrainline!
They impose fees for card use and for collecting tickets that can easily be avoided: just buy from one of the many train operating companies such as First Great Western (fgw.co.uk). The fares and even the interface are exactly the same, but the total cost is usually rather less.0 -
crosscountry are also great, far cheaper charges than the trainline and superb service, last time i used them del was only £1 and i had them 3 days before they took the money off my debit card, and fares are as cheap sometimes cheaper0

MSE office hours must be weird ones!
Thanks for explanation, although wish it could be different. Need to be in it to win it and all that and know I'm not the only one who can't be online during office hours.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
