Please help - DWP number needed!

Government departments, their agencies and other public services are covered by Cabinet Office Guidance published 26 December 2013:
http://www.gov.uk/government/publications/hmg-guidance-for-customer-service-lines
This effectively banned the use of premium rate 084 or 087 numbers. My guess is a change of contractor has occurred and there was a failure to specify what type of phone number could be used.0 -
I used to work for the DWP and this annoys me that although the employer has rung up, I STILL have to ring an 0845 number to give my permission.0

Why drag up a thread from last year ?0 -
Because I STILL need to contact them ! What's the problem? People have been posting on and off since 2011! Is that ok with you?0

:beer:I have had to ring Employee Shared Services this morning, and there is a new phone number, which has reverted back to an 0845 number. I asked if there was a an 0345 number, but that question was not answered, so there may be one.
Anyway, new number is 0845 241 5352.
Anyone ringing the old 0845 600 1405 or 0345 600 1405 number is directed to call 0845 241 5352 for DWP enquiries (or other numbers starting 0845 241 535x for other departments).
The 0845 241 5352 number continues to operate and announces the call charges as "2p per minute plus Access Charge", meaning calls currently cost up to 67p per minute.
The SSCL website does not list any telephone numbers for contact, only email addresses.
The ordinary inclusive number 0345 241 5352 is working and connects to the same place, but isn't promoted anywhere.
There should be a message on the premium rate 0845 number telling callers to hang up and re-dial the inclusive 0345 number, but there isn't.
The same issue affects all of the numbers starting 0845 241 535x, in use by various departments.0
