There will only be one outcome that is legal.0 -

Yours? After all, you are the one saying that the law isn't the law, and if it is the law it shouldn't be, and you know this because your OH manages some HR somewhere. That certainly qualifies as a pretty huge ego. If only it were deserved. You are certainly excellent at insulting people who know better than you do. If you had some legal argument to dispute what I say you would use it - but you don't and you can't because it is th elaw and that has been proven. So you resort to insults. How grown up.0 -
Ok - maybe it's time for everyone to take a deep breath and calm down just a little...?
OP - can I advise that you contact ACAS or check your various insurances to see if you have legal cover for just such an eventuality? Whilst I have no doubt SarEl is everything stated (infact I'm pretty damn sure they know their stuff) - I would never advise you to base your defence on something this serious on things stated on a forum...
Get ideas for where to start by all means, but if you think that they are prejudice against you then you need to get some specific advice and help.
I've been through redundancies (was under threat whilst pregnant too a few years ago when my employer was bought...) and last time I was made redunsdant I got a very nice package after I pointed out a few issues with how they had handled the situation etc (trying to get us all to leave by being horrid and nasty to all of us before eventually telling us our jobs were going to Ireland...) Instead of £2k they paid us over £8k each - not bad for a 21 year old on £18k
HOW you fight the fight however will make a huge difference - no matter how emotional you are (and you will be... pregnancy does that!) you need to take a step back and either deal with it devoid of emotion OR you get someone in to help you fight and keep you focused...
