  • Went to my local savers today. Manager there confirmed they were converting to superdrug in april. Said though that there should be 200 odd stores left after they've finished converting them. Head office has combined with superdrug's. So looks lke things will be done superdrug way in future.

Went to one in Droitwich yesteday and apparently not all Savers are being bought out - and they are not one of them. Will have to check Worcester now as there are already 2 Superdrug stores there.

No mega bargains detected in the Swindon branch today - although it is very close to a large Superdrug.

The Savers distro centre is here in Darlington, and they've just announced they're shutting it down with major job losses... I guess this would be the reason why!
They've just had a major refurbishment in the store in town ....I wonder why they bothered?

We have Savers and superdrug within a 100 yards of each other and I went into Savers on Friday no bargains so I wonder if they are closing this one down?

250 Savers stores closing or converting to superdrug by April, so maybe quite a few closing down sales to watch out for, especially where Savers is close to a Superdrug.

Oh, might have to check out my local, as it has a superdrug literally 30 seconds away from it.

    Thanks, OP.
