Advice on dodgy garage please...

Advice needed please because Im about to fall out with someone big time...
Bought a diesel Astra last week from a local garage, 31k on the clock and has 12 month warranty with the garage. We purchased on the proviso a service was done on the car including oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter and pollen filter. We had in writing that the service had been done with the parts listed above.
I was therefore a little surprised to get a code on the dash warning me about the fuel filter. A little more investigating revealed that whilst the oil may have been changed the filter had not. Air filter was filthy and obviously had not been changed. We quickly realised that none of the work ticked off on the sale sheet had been done, but there was more....
The car had a knocking from the back end. We dropped it back to the garage this morning, annoyed about the lies over the service as well and asked them to sort out the knock.
We collected the car about half an hour ago and brilliant, they had fixed as promised. I decided to take a look at their handy work....
As nice a rag as it is, it doesn't match the car. Frankly I'm :mad: and ready to tell them where they can stick the car. I'm just having some lunch then I'm going to check if the rest of the work has been done, then head to the garage.
Any advice on how to deal with these cowboys? This is a big, supposedly reputable Stoke dealer who believe me I shall be naming later on.
My thoughts are to hand them the car, tell them I want a full check performing on it and a courtesy car whilst they do it. Any suggestions?

Looks like it's been placed there to cover up a leak? Is that oil on the curb under the rag?
Think you've found a cowboy garage for sure... try rejecting the car if you can!0 -

No, its water on the kerb. We discovered the car failed its MOT last month on the opposite spring, now I was always under the impression both rear springs should be changed at the same time but only the nearside one was done. The knocking seemed to come from the nearside so I'm a bit surprised to see a rag there...
Looks like the air filter has been changed at least though, but this latest bodge has really annoyed me.
In terms of rejecting, I would, but this is the other half's baby (1.9 Cdti SRi) and he's now spent a bit on added extras for it (hands free kit,cruise control, mat s etc etc and he doesn't want to be out of pocket)0 -

I can't see the picture (photobucket blocked at work), so i'm guessing there's a rag somewhere. It's possible that it's put there due to a leak or possibly because some oil was spilt, or even possibly not to get any spillage when topping up and they forgot to remove it.0

Well, OH has gone up there, softly softly and all that. He's decided to play it dumb and say he was afraid to remove the rag in case it was doing something important. Will let you know what happens.0

I wouldn't worry about the rag - its just an oversight. As to the spring, whilst it is ideal to change both when one goes, there is no legal requirement to.0
