Hi was wondering if anyone had heard of consortium reclaim and if this was worth doing to get the credit card debt deemed unenforceable and the debt written off. Can anyone help me ???

The others have not used, them sure they can make your debts go awayDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Basically they will debit you some upfront fees and then do nothing. If you stop paying your CCs, they won't help you when the CC comes after you.0

There are more than a few of these scammers. Always ask yourself:
- Why do they need to be paid? (Really, what they do is send forms, that you can find for free, to the bank asking to ignore the debt for technical reasons. Those have worked for a few corner cases of a very few individuals.)
- If you pay them with the card, and the credit card debt is not enforcable, who is going to pay them?
- If they won't do any good with your debt, can you get the money you paid them back? If not, how would you feel?
My advice - ignore them (in particular, don't even give them card details), and deal with the debt for real, there are other parts of the forums that provide much more help than those cold-calling scammers (unfortunately, the "Credit Cards" forum is about using the cards to your advantage, so it's not the best place if you don't want to be using the best cards.)Enjoy the silence...0 -
How about you pay back you spent, instead of trying find ways of wriggling out of your responsibilities?Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

Well yes, you can get any unsecured debt written off, but don't expect to be able to get anymore credit once you have done so! (or even a standard bank account, for that point)0

The courts made a number of rulings on this unenforceable credit myth with some test cases in December 2009 which found in favour of the lenders and set some rules in place. It killed off a number of claims companies that were set up to try that avenue and nowadays no genuine claims company would try it.
Any company doing it now is operating what has to be very close to advance fee fraud. i.e. entice you with a statistically unlikely pay-off (usually quoting many thousands of pounds) by exploiting some unusual loophole but get you to pay a smaller amount up front. The fraud works only on the greedy and stupid.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. If you are stupid enough to pay them, do it on your credit card.
S75 may reimburse you when you realise it's a scam!
Or perhaps a new claim company will be set up offering to "recover all your fees from fake claim companies".0
