council tax and bailiffs

    i'll call the council tomorrow, cos they were supposed to put a hold on the bailiffs, and the CA lady called about 11.30am, the letter was delivered asbout 2.45pm.

    just to add to the above post by RAS
    keep this notice of distress very safe it should only be used to levy goods what the bailiff should have left was a letter to say he had attended to levy
    I am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites

    on the front it says - to me at my address and all others it may concer,

    TAKE NOTICE that by virtue of an authority given to me by M********L Magistrates Court in a Warrent/Liability Order dated Sept 15, 2011 I have this day re-attended with a view to seizing goods for debt and costs owing to FHDC as stated in the said Warrent/Liability Order.

    AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that unless the said sum be paid, together with the expenses of this attendance, within five Days from the date hereof, we will re-attend with a view to siezure, removal and sale of the goods according to the Law.

    my local cab is only open mon, tues and thurs. I'll pop along on thurs and tell them about the letter and the call to the council tomorrow.

    i was up until i got student exemption. when i see the job centre and CAB next week, i will again.
