You can delay them by requesting a copy of the actual liability order, not a letter referencing to it.
It is a legal document that must comply on several fronts, court stamp, magistrate signature with title, case number, court.
You would be surprised to find out how many of these council tax liability orders can not be produced, because they never had one in the first place as they never went to court..
Kind of stalls them a bit...
Do you just quote the same old rubbish every single time ?
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

    venerable

Ithink you might mean 'vulnerable'! 'Venerable' means something completely different.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Ask to SEE the liability order, call the court and ask them what they know about this "court order".

Why is it nonsense ? do tell us, don't spout it, put up your case as to why they don't actually need a liability order when they claim to have a liability order, other than they just keep getting away with it.
