Oh, no, sorry - he was banned for returning to the store to pick up more of the bargains. Which is what Tesco try to encourage us all to do every day of the year.

Tesco made the error - this young man did nothing wrong - I'm horrified he got banned. I hope he is able to see the funny side (perhaps aided by a choccy orange or two!)

I agree. That's so crazy! How can you get banned if you've done nothing wrong at all? Tesco makes so much profit from us ("Britain's biggest retailer, has reported record profits of £3.8bn – more than £10m a day"), when we try to gain a bit from them (legally), they go and do that to a customer? Incomprehensible... But I admit: it's still my favourite supermarket.

Got 6 today in Pontefract, asked SA if they had any more stock as only 2 milk choc on shelf, he brought 2 trays down and asked if they were on offer as they had sold loads today! :rotfl:

I never scan my clubcard when I get glitches, I get all paranoid just in case they trace me!
