  • Buying 84 for what reason how about leaving some for someone else. If you are going to use them for a sensible reason, such as another poster who brought 192 for the children at their school to sell and raise money to go camping then fair enough that is a sensible reason. Buying 84 just because they are cheap does not make much sense to me.

I still remember when the Famous Talc situation where you could spend something like £1.80 for a bottle of Talc and get clubcard points to the value of £4. I brought a few but not more than about 12. I did not use it, did not need it. I gave it to my girlfriend at the time. She took two and gave the other 10 to her sister.

One thing stands in my mind though and that was going into Galleons Reach Tescos to see some bloke wearing a pair of shorts that could not have cost more than 50p completely clearing the shelf. I just though "Greedy Sod". I would never clear the self I would leave some for other people. Deals should be about sharing with many people. Not a couple of people grabbing it all so that no one else gets a look in.

Well Michael, your last post just shows how judgemental you are.

Whatever happened to "be nice to moneysavers"?
The glitch has gone now, lets just get on with looking forward to finding the next one eh?

Just read the Sun Newspaper and the glitch is in there under the heading

    " 29p Choc Orange Stampede"

Makes us all sound like mad people who went running into the store to clear the shelves lol

Seriously, lol :rotfl:, If some people had not brought 1862 they are never going to eat there would have been plenty to go around.

I have crawled on and under the bottom shelf in ASDA before when the Cadburys creme eggs were 5p on clearance, people drop them and they roll and they never go hunting for them. I got 17 of them off an "empty" shelf, and we ate them all. Yes we did. But I didn't feel guilty because there wasn't anyone else looking for any, if there had been I'd have shared.

A lady in Iceland gave me a £1 pepperoni pizza out of her trolley last week, I'd said to DS "Well they have your one but not mine and dads, never mind" and she said "Did you want this one?" and handed it to me, she was buying a bunch for a party and didn't mind having one of something else. She was nice.

That's what it's about isn't it, being nice as well as getting a bargain.
