If the lights on your grill work, and you plug a kettle in(assuming you mean into the socket that the cooker is wired into) and that works, then it IS certainly a knackered oven.0

Yes i mean't that i plugged my kettle into the socket that the cooker is wired into. I was hoping it wasn't a knackered oven, but like you said if the grill part works, then electricity is being supplied to it.
What do i do? Can i claim on insurance, do they cover for items being damaged due to storms? or is my electricity company liable? Or do i have no chance and have to have no oven until i can save up for one.....Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
i think it is more likely that a fusse within the cooker has blown.
can you post the model number?Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Cookers do not have internal fuses unless they are industrial.
Also if the fuse had blown, then the cooker would not work at all , and that includes the grill.0 -
It doesn't have a model number visible on the actual cooker, i know nothing about it, was just left all booklets by previous owner.
Its a new world creations-deluxe built in oven and grill (the hobs are seperate).
When opening the booklet it says:
G.C number - 11.641.42
CKG number - CKG 21526
Like mentioned above when i rang new world they asked for the model number, as soon i told them the above numbers they couldn't help because it was a before 1998 model and i had to ring that pathetic company.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Keep trying the button pressing, my friend had the same problem as you and called out a technician to take a look at it. The guy walked in pressed and held 3 buttons (out of 5) for about 5 seconds and the thing burst into life.0
