Hi,
i sold a TV on eBay.
The buyer claimed it didn't work and has admitted to opening up the TV to clean it and now he wants a refund.
as he has opened it up its not in the same condition i sold it in and he could have broken it himself or tampered with the electrics.
i've been trying to find something like a legislation or consumers act that means he can't return it as he's tampered with the insides of it
any help please?

To be fair, it looks like some of the posts have been moved from other forums - it's a new user so give them a chance!0 -

One of the posts was moved. The other two are the same on the same board.
I wasn't unfair. I asked them not to post again. New user or not, it's not unreasonable to ask someone to stop posting the same thing.0 -
APOLOGIES
I thought the others had been deleted.
not much point in posting at all if a slapped wrist for mis-posting is the best you got.0 -
Where is the slapped wrist? I said....Please don't keep posting the same thing.
It isn't mis posting, it is triplicating. It makes the boards difficult for all to read. It also makes any replies to you difficult to contain.0 -
Did they pay cash on collection or through paypal?
If through paypal then they must return it tracked and they will get a refund.
If cash on collection then did they not see it working before handing over the cash?
It will be harder for them to claim the money back if bought with cash.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
