Mmmm... I love Pret sarnies. A bit pricey, but well worth it. :-)

One can be healthy in other ways. Some food poporting to be healthy tastes vile. A little salt, butter and even cream goes a long way and if you learn to balance it right then you can offset with gourmet low cost tasty meals ie carrot and rice nooodle salad from reliable recipe, chef etc with cookery cheffing skills as well.

I like Pret too, at least you know you will always get fresh ingredients there & a lot of it is quite healthy compared to other fast food sandwich type places. I've never had a bad experience in one but yes, they are pretty pricey, especially for eating in.

I was surprised when I found out they are owned by McDonalds!

Still it seems so perverse, but it is not uncommon to see Junk food corporations investing in healthy companies or at least producers of qaulity merchandise.

Mcdonalds is better than Burger King anyday. I had Burger King at a s train station and I wished I had gone to the Mcdonalds outlet a floor above.!!

Good to know about reliability of Starbucks Filter, I find Mcdonalds Coffee good as well!!

I know someone who spends about £20 on coffee a week from places like this. Whilst I don't go for the cheapest brands I normally get 2 jars for £6 and that lasts me about 3 months.

But as I say if people have the money or are willing to pay the prices good for them.

Everyone has the right to have a treat. If stopping by a coffee shop for a drink and a cake makes their week better, then good for them, I say.

Are you sure about that? (Just that Macd, generally, are franchises and pret say they don't do franchises.)

It really isn't!

What did you eat from there? Burger King is miles better than McDonalds. The meat tastes like meat and the toppings taste like the toppings.

McDonalds just has this particular 'taste' that I've never been quite able to figure out where it comes from...
