Slightly more relaxed day today - am working but on holiday wind down!
made my holiday packing list last night so need to start gathering everything together, finish the washing/ drying. Will pop into town at lunch time to get a few bits too - unfortunatley not a no spend day just before payday but needs must!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Sorry if this is not the right place to ask (but you all seem so nice and helpful), but was wondering what you all do with coins in pot challenge. I have been putting loose coppers in pot for a while and its nearly full. When I was in the bank yesterday the woman in front of me wanted to pay in some bagged coins and was told there is a limit of 5 a day. Do you take them in on different days or pay for things in change (cant imagine that going down well in Christmas rush!)??Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Depends on the bank, branch and person you are speaking to!!
Our local branch refuses more then 5 bags, but branch near my work never bat an eyelid!
Also I believe in bigger towns some banks (NatWest here) have coin machine... you stick your card in and then fill the machine with your coins and money goes straight to your account.. I don't think there is any charge for that.0 -

Afternoon all,
OH my its rather wet and very windy here today, so much so when I went to feed the rabbits I found dd play house on the opposite side of the patio  this has never happened in the 3 years it's been there so it must be super windy :rotfl:
DD hosp appt went ok sort of, apparently more loose blood vessels had appeared within the 2 weeks so it had to be re-cauterized  maybe it wasn't done correctly 1st time? The dr did have a funny look on his face  anyway we'll be back in 2 weeks for the 2nd follow up :rotfl: dd is fine tho bless her, she insisted on going back 2 school and was fine tho was a little sore when she got home.
Foot pain is very intense again today which I think was brought on by tapping my foot waiting for her name to be called in the hosp :rotfl: appt was 10.45 we were seen at 11.45
Had a phone call from sis 2day, her mil is getting rid of her breadmaker and says I can have it :j I've been wanting 1 for ages but just couldn't afford it & I know it'll be as new as she's the type of person to buy top of the range and use it once, It's being delivered to me this pm :T
Did the HUGE ironing pile yesterday, just need to put away today and have a general tidy through.
Huge hugs to all, have a great day xxMarch grocery challenge 147.28 / 150.00 :j

Hi everyone,
Im a bit late posting today but have been busy at work.
Washing was in before work with another load ready for swapping over tonight. I will dry them on the airer and hopefully iron tomorrow evening.
I need to pop to the library in my lunchbreak to avoid fines and Im off out for a quick drink after work for a leaving do (will just have a diet coke and then make my excuses - Im on a diet and skint so its the most sensible thing to do!).
Dinner this evening is fish (cod) with new pots and vegetables.
I am still planning my Christmas shopping - I have decided to make some "girly" hampers for the 3 girls I need to buy for. I have got a list of what to get so far (most of which I can get in poundland!).
Nail file
shower gel
hand cream
candle
shopping list (magnetic for the fridge)
pen and notebook
tissues
chocolate bar (or small box of chocolates)
Please let me know if you think of anything else that might be nice! Also, does anyone have any good ideas of where I can get some wicker baskets nice and cheap? Actually, I will look on the Christmas board - there is bound to be a suggestion there.
Its nice just to have a plan of what Im going to buy - it takes a weight off my mind! Just my dad and brother to worry about now but I do have a few ideas. I really like to get people things that are useful rather than just jokey!
Have a great day everyone.

Afternoon All
I was supposed to be going to visit DGD this morning but her mum is ill. I did offer to take the baby out for an hour but that didn't go down too well. Had rather large argument with DS1 and GF over the weekend - they say I don't make any effort to see DGD but if they don't answer the phone or any texts, how am I supposed to know when they are in! It's about a 3/4 hour journey so too far to go on the off chance and they seem to forget that I work during the day and most evenings too. Children eh?!
It was super busy at work last night and didn't finish till 11, back in tonight at 5 on my own so it had better be quiet. Off both jobs then till next monday. DD and I are going visiting family in Wales and Chester for a few days and I am really looking forward to a break.
Washing up to date, as is the ironing, house cleaned yesterday so just S&Sing to do today. Thought hamster was dead but when I went to lift her she tried to bite me. Not sure who got the biggest shock! I have put her back in her little house but it's not looking good. Not sure what to do as someone is coming in to look after it while we are away!
Sorry to hear so many of you are poorly or down, Molly I hope your appeal brings the right decision but it shouldn't come to this. If you need the surgery then who can be allowed to play god with your life. All those who abuse the system (you know who I mean) should be refused and the money spent where it counts. Rant over.
Off to the dentist later as I broke a tooth this morning. Take care all. XX0 -
bathroom door painted :j:T yippee, I hate painting woodwork, have showered, loaded dw and got a load on the line, dd has peeled the spuds, I just need to do the veg, and prep the bag of apples, then go and see dad, then I can have a rest
;)
Meant to say earlier, Molly how terrible, hope something can be sorted for you xx
Butterfly, ouch hope your poorly arm gets better soon xx0 -
Hi all,
Camelot-ouch,I've just come home from the dentist for a large filling. Its still numb and I think I've bitten my cheek having my lunch.Hope yours is sorted soon. This grandparenting isnt all plain sailing is it? I asked about seeing DGD this morning and was told tonight or tomorrow,so I said tomorrow ,DS has just had a text saying her mummy is going out now tomorrow.Tonight it is then!I'm finding it hard to know what is a happy balance, don't want to be a nuisance.
So I'd better sort our tea out so its ready as soon as DH comes in,I've got some diced lamb and I can cook it in the pressure cooker so it'll be nice and tender.
I made 2 loaves yesterday, there is only a bit left,so bm is on again.Well done on your Bm Brighteyes, you'll enjoy playing with it.
Right I want to make a few cards this afternoon,so better get cracking.
Molly ,sorry about your funding (((Hugs)))
Have a nice afternoon everybody xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi again,
I need a rant!!!
It's a long story which I have chosen not to share until now. Basically I left my ex a few months ago after I discovered he had been bringing me home unwanted gifts (i'm hoping you all understand what I mean) It was the most embarrasing thing I've ever done goin to see the GP about this, more so because of the fact I'd been cheated on. I was devestated to say the least. Of course the ex denied it and says it was all down to me.....
Oh please, where the hell would I find time 4 an affair, inbetween work, looking after dd, cookin, cleaning etc etc
Anyway threw him out and decided to get on with my life, (he is not dd father) This has been far from easy.
So fast forward to today and I've just found out he is in a new relationship, I am so angry!!! Is this normal to feel this way???
When I found out I did that thing where you have to catch your breath and then realisation kicks in that it is over, I no I kicked him out and rightly so and I could never take him back after what he did but I feel devestated again. He broke my heart and I don't want to keep hurting, I feel stupid I know these feelings shouldnt be there after what he did but I can't help it.
I will never forgive him, just feel so angry/upset now!!!
Sorry about that xxMarch grocery challenge 147.28 / 150.00 :j
