  • You will have to elaborate on exactly what is happening to get any useful response. Try scanning in safe mode (F8 at bootup), and read through the malware sticky thread at the top of the page.

Has a usb flash drive been installed on it recently?

You could try a system restore

you could use one of the online scanners (its free and does a great job)

or go for AVG, it finds (IMHO) more than Norton ever did

Do what albertross suggested.Scan in safe mode. You could always switch off system restore first.then switch it back on when you have finished scanning.
but i would try system restore first to see if that gets rid of the virus first.

Is there a message before the rebooting ? -

Is the rebooting only in non safe mode ?

keep the usb stick away from your 3rd PC then.

Any indication of which virus it is?

Try putting these on a CD, and install on the PC/laptop in safe mode.

try all of the above.. for starters. make sure you update them after download, then kick off scans.

Which AV is installed, was installed.? What is detecting the dropper?
