Stress!! Trying to pay off Quick quid in full using a Credit card, but apparently their system doesn't support credit card payments over the phone, so they've sent me a link which keeps going wrong. I keep calling them and telling them but all the advice is to keep trying. I have never known such an unhelpful lot and its starting to stress me out!
Ask to speak to a manager. Explain the difficulties you're experiencing, and ask if they'd like you to demonstrate said difficulties to the local Trading Standards, who would doubtlessly take a dim view of you being charged interest solely due to the inadequacies of Quick Quid's systems.
A £50,000 fine will keep a couple of Trading Standards people in a job for a year."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Thank you Savingholmes, I'll have a look!
ZTD, I'll have another try tomorrow at work, their call centre sounds American and they always repeat the same things to me. I'll ask for a manager and see how it goes. It's ridiculous that I'm trying to pay off a debt and the damn system is against me!
On a nicer note, boot sale this morning totalled £109

!!!!!!!g awful start. Out at 630 this morning and went to withdraw my £300 from my pay to last me the whole month, leaving £700 and a bit left to pay bills. But no. By that time a payday company had wiped my account so now I am stuffed. I have tried so hard since my LBM, haven't bought much at all, sold a lot and have cut down on a lot of things, and just to be left where I was. I know it's my own fault etc, but it's soul destroying to try so hard and end up in the ****.Debt Free Wannabe, aged 23 LBM:10/10/2011

well done on the boot sale - delete the direct debit for the payday company so they can't do that again.... Talk to your bank about it possibly see if they can help. Ring CCCS?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Cancel the direct debit, then go to your bank and say you want the money back as per the direct debit guarantee. Yes, that's the bit at the bottom of your direct debit mandate that you cut out and chuck out...
If a payment is due for the payday company, send them a cheque.
I know it may be a bit late now, but avoid payday companies."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I will avoid them like the plague! Its such a horrible spiral to get into and after a while it feels like you're drowning in them. I've read its possible to make payment plans with the companies for a bit each month?Debt Free Wannabe, aged 23 LBM:10/10/2011

Thursday 3rd November
Finally got my hair done after over 2 months of avoiding the mirrors! Was a pleasant surprise to find I'd get £15 off
.
Had a good sort through some old boxes and have a heck of a lot of stuff to list on Ebay tonight, and its has to be tonight as I am working 10am-11pm tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday I have parties to organise! Just need to get the motivation together to actually take photos, write notes on each thing and come back downstairs to list them all! Hopefully my Mum and Dad will be going out for a couple of hours soon, is they stay here I won't get a lot done as they will be hanging over my shoulder, questioning the prices I list and the picture I take...and that isn't good for my temper!!
Still the issue with the payday lot, once I'm past those little sods I should be on a good standing to clear the rest!Debt Free Wannabe, aged 23 LBM:10/10/2011
