very true! yikes, never thought of that0 -
Hi, if it is a company you are buying it from , would they not let you use the card instead rather than buying in cash?no, i really dont pal. Maybe you need to bump your head as you seem to spend your time making needless sarcastic remarks to a completely valid question. My company is getting rid of a 2008 company car as the replacement is due. However, before they sell back to the dealership at £8500, they have advertised internally to our workforce at a sell price of £5000. This is a bargain worth having and in 3 weeks it will not be there. End of. I know my own finances and manage them well - just would like an answer to my question please.0 -
Use one of the cheques you get every month and pay the money into your bank? It will cost more but if you pay it back as you say then no harm done.0

Ask your company for an advance, so they take it all off your next paycheck?Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0

I hate all the negative posts on this forum however I have to agree with the above posts, this doesn't seems a very wise plan. Good luck with whatever you do.0

Surely this is as negative as the other posts. On the other-hand I reserved judgement and only pointed out another cost that would be required.
If you don't like the negative comments from others don't post them yourself.
rant over...The proof that some people really are opinionated and ignorant

I have just seen all of these posts! I have had a busy weekend. Vanquis allowed me to withdraw the full amount of cash from inside of my Natwest bank on the agreement i took proof of identity and then it was all done over the phone there and then. Simple. Then on friday i purchased the car. Everything about it is sound. The reason it was so cheap is that this way they get it off their hands no hassle - it actually costs companies to return their cars back to leasing firms if they have exceeded the agreed mileage. Something to do with tax i dont know. Also, I arranged my insurance on saturady, which cost me £1855 for the year - roughly £150 per month. It is steep but i paid £1600 for my 1.6litre Astra, so its not that bad.0
