No worse than what they've done with email messages.

I had all the notification settings how I wanted them - someone sends a message, I get an email.

But Facebook decided to change the settings to only send notifications they thought I'd want.

So I don't get an email until Monday telling me a friend was going in to hospital the weekend before.

All changed back now, but how long before they change it all again!

They've put back that horrible chat sidebar as well.

If I remember correctly you can hide the chat sidebar by clicking on the gear icon that's at the bottom of the chat box.

Click on 'lists' (bottom of the left hand column)
Click on + Create a list
Add all of your friends and save the list
On the home page, hover to the left of the list you've just created and 'add to favourites'
The list will show on the left at the top with 'News Feed', 'Messages' & 'Events'
Then, when you want to see friends' posts in age order just click on the list you have created.

I tried this but could only add 20 friends?

They make a lot of money for a free service, wonder who's paying for it.

Maybe the way I was adding them caused the problem? I opened my friends list in a seperate window (I don't have many friends on my list but I can't remember them off top of my head) as I couldn't see a way of importing the whole list at once. Once I started typing a name, a box/list came up and I selected the friend from there. Once I got 20 names in the list it wouldn't let me add anymore.

    How did you add yours?

How long ago did you do your list? Wondering if it's something new FB have done to stop users doing as you have suggested.
