It'll probably work too. Young people tend to be far more nationalistic than older ones. Imbued as they are with confidence and vim, rather than the reality of having a job and needing to pay the mortgage.
Independence lite sounds interesting though, pooled defence that would presumably preserve the UK in name but stop stupid Westminster politicians invading whichever country America decides is next on the hit list. The educational and legal systems are already totally different in Scotland.
Presumably Scotland would then be free to make its own way economically without the English taxpayer having to pay for them.
Sixteen year-olds are going to be allowed to vote in the referendum on Scottish independence in an attempt to maximise nationalist support for the break-up of Britain, the Scottish Government confirmed last night.

Finally we can get rid then laugh at their failure.

Can the rest of us South of the border vote on the break up of the Union too, the quicker we get rid the better.0

I think England should get a referendum the day before they do theirs. They can have Wales as 2 for 1 offer as well.0

I'm all for that, can we stick them in the Euro too? The pound could do with a boost.0 -
Obviously they forgot about the Darien Expedition and other reasons for the union in the first place.0

Salmond has some excellent ideas on Scotland's economy. I mean, look at whom he is using for a basis of comparison.

If they go independent can we palm off our EU membership to them too?Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0

Yes. We should stick to much more important issues like what your house is currently worth and how much equity you have.0 -
