:rotfl:Thanks Nora! Happy New Year to you, wishing you health & happiness in 2012:D
I think I've just about exhaused myself .... (am a tad bit "delicate" though I honestly didn't drink that much last night & was at home:o).
Think I'll have a break and think about the savings bit later on .... really need to get on and pick a chicken carcass / make stock (was supposed to be making soup for lunch) but the morning has disappeared in a blur of figures:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

OK, so first spends of the year ..... liquid gold, a few bits at the sm - not too bad, and did spend lot less than usual as conscious of the £9 off £40 spend to be used soon
Really hoping I can crack things this year .... been here before and always start with good intentions and then get sidetracked but I've never been so thorough with budgets etc before and I've never had the pots to cover bills before so .... fingers crossed!
It's a big relief knowing that I've money aside to cover the car stuff when it's due as that's £270 that I would've usually been having to find out of Feb's salary:eek:
Saw a lovely dog advertised today .... rang the lady and there's 3 people going to see him tonight- unfortunately, I couldn't get there before them as it's too far away. She says she'll ring if he doesn't go but I think the first person to see him will take him ..... there is a dog out there for me somewhere - please can someone hurry up and put us together!:)

RFTA you are so organised with your budgets I am so impressed.:T One day, one day I will be just like you.
Happy New Year to you.
What kind of doggy do you have in mind?:DDebt £26k 18/10/140 -
Thanks Banwa ... I usually start well and then it goes wrong somewhere down the line but determined that it won't this year.
Re the doggy .... trying to keep an open mind. In my heart, I'm a Lab person (had them for around 25 years - I feel old now!) - but I'm trying to keep an open mind.... hopefully the right dog is out there:). I'm so missing (Ben obviously but) the walks in the woods & on the beach etc ... and the companyGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Ohhhh dear ... now doing too well at writing in here!:o but I am keeping my spends spreadsheet up to date!;)
Have been tweaking figures again as don't think I've made enough allowance for increases this year - many things are known as just renewed - but many others aren't.
Not helped by another pay freeze this year - saw on the news this morning that PS pay is going to rise by 1% total by 2015:eek: so some serious cutting back will be needed if inflation stays anywhere near it's current figure.....

Genearlly OK!:D
Cats insurance overspent as started a new policy in Dec & this month they're taking 2 months payments:mad:
Groceries / toiletries / cleaning stuff - OK but still spent more than I was hoping for. It's the milk & wheat free things that are not helping but no way around this ......
Anything else has been increased a fair bit to incl the new shed and table/chairs .... still hoping to fund from £2 coin jar & cashback but may need to get these before I've enough saved.
Still dog hunting..... saw a lovely fella last week but sadly not the one for me - and lots of gorgeous pups but really don't want a pup ..... will keep looking.

Took me ages to figure it out ... but really easy now!- Copy the row/columns (or whatever it is) and then go into Paint (this should be under "Accessories" on your "all programs" if you've not used it before)
- Paste in
- Save as - make sure you choose the JPEG option from the drop down list (it usually defaults to PNG file)
- Go to a photo hosting site eg Photobucket
- Upload the jpeg file
- Copy IMG code & insert into your post as you would a pic (choose the IMG icon - like a yellow envelope with mountains & a stamp on / paste the link in and remove
