Hi
I just wanted to share my experience of purchasing with little woods it started with my gf losing her phone so i bought her a new galaxy s 2 on littlewoods she was really excited and took the day off work to get her new phone delivered.... well the morning went by and i get a call from my gf saying she checked online and it said it had been delivered she thought must be a mistake rang them up and they said i had signed for it and it was delivered at 10 ish at which time i was in work on camera lol so a little annoyed at the mix up i rang up to sort it out after a few minutes trying to make the person on the phone understand it wasnt me and i am in work on camera as we speak she went on to say i had to send in proof of signature ..... i said well i will just be taking them to court and my video footage will be plenty of evidence . well after a few minutes on hold she comes back totally different attitude saying shes sorry for the misunderstanding and the new phone will be sent out to the address i asked to collect it as i didnt trust them to deliver it they apparently delivered it someone signed my initials which a two year old could have done didnt check id obviously and even tho my girlfriend was at home waiting by the back door never knocked. so there i am thinking end of story about a week or two later telling me i must send proof of signature !!!!! so i ring up and they said i have to or ill have to pay for both .... i sent the details and shall be ringing them tommorrow to chase it up i find it so rediculous that i should have to go to all this effort to buy something... never again shall i use them a bunch of scam artists if it isnt resolved i wont pay for either of them not bothered about credit rating as leaving country in year or two just seems when your on the level you get screwed.... and hard
cheers

Hi, when items are delivered to yr address, a signature is required, now if someone was in your garden and the delivery driver turns up they are asked to sign - no id is needed and they get the parcel, looking at it from littlewoods poit of view they could say you are trying to scam them by saying you never signed for it. They are trying to resolve it, but by accusing them of being scam artists, im afraid your probably only going to get their backs up by being abusive.
Channels have to be followed, and the delivery driver will be asked to provide evidence of delivery - this all takes time.
Hope you get things resolved shortlyBSC member 137

"A confidence trick is an attempt to defraud a person or group by gaining their confidence. A confidence artist is an individual working alone or in concert with others who exploits characteristics of the human psyche such as greed, both dishonesty and honesty, vanity, compassion, credulity, irresponsibility, naïvet!, and the thought of trying to get something of value for nothing or for something far less valuable."

To be fair, it's really the delivery company that are at fault.
I was at work once and we were all waiting on an important delivery. My boss rang up the company to check it had been sent, and they in turn contacted the delivery company. We got told I had signed for the parcel. I couldn't remember signing for it, but was panicking just the same.
20 minutes later the delivery driver arrived with the parcel I'm supposed to have signed for! Someone at the delivery company was telling porkies. I was bloody annoyed I can say!
I think Littlewoods should be sending you proof that it's been signed for really, let them do the running around.
My guess is the delivery driver's probably lifted the phone. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Personally I wouldn't bother phoning. You have paid them to provide a mobile phone, which so far they have failed to do.
At this point I would write or email, stating what's happened and pointing out that they have failed to supply the goods so you require an immediate refund.0 -

It's not littlewoods it's the courier they use, they're dreadful. The last few times I've ordered I've paid for before noon delivery as I have a life and can't wait in all day. The first time it turned up at 2pm so I complained and got my £5 refunded. I assume they slapped the couriers wrist, 'cos now he marks it as 'put through customers letterbox' on the online tracking at 11:55am (how big do they think my letterbox is? I suppose it's to avoid having to fake a signature!), then turns up about 2pm with the parcel. I notice I never have to sign for it. I'm guessing you got a sticky fingered courier.Oct £10 a day challenge £225.19/£310Sept £10 a day challenge: £272.13/£300Debt £1951.97/£21540
