Can you watch regional programmes on Sky FreeSat?

We have a white sky box, sky dish but no card. Is there any way to watch regional programmes such as the local news without the sky card? I want to watch regional news tonight but it defaults to London news.

Im guessing not but thought I would check.

Thank you! My tv had been in the loft for months and I couldnt get it working but I finally managed to sort the sky input from the dish and have got the channels working. Thanks again.
