Why bother phoning and telling them anything at all ? Just wait until they call you and say " Ta , I am sorted for now but please keep me on your books" end of problem.

Good to hear you've found work.

Don't bother to call the unhelpful agency and don't worry about needing them in the future. If you are going to earn them some money by filling a vacancy they have in the future, they'll not be concerned about your not having phoned them this week.
  • Don't waste your time and credit calling to let them know. They will eventually call you to ask if you are still looking and then you can say no.

    Congratulations on getting something.
  • you might as well not phone him and tell him. You walked out of your last job after a day

I did temping over the summer (student) i got a job fairly easily as i just wanted the week holiday cover type jobs was not looking something long term. everytime i finished one i emailed the agencies and quite alot of the time got a phone call saying "something came in today" everytime i got a position it had came in that day and on the day i emailed or the day after. I think if i hadn't of emailed i wouldn't have got anything.
  • i would check thewir website (if any) for relevant jobs,..

    AND!

a tip i got from the jobclub- tweak your cv a little, and upload to the various search sites every few days, to keep your details at/near top of the results list..

even if its just the font style!
