    Hi,

I made a minimum payment online for my Capital One payment on Friday, through my debit card early because the direct debit may have a problem this month going through.

However, the website still shows my next payment is due on 13/10/11? (The usual date for the direct debit). I did this on Friday afternoon, is it not likely to update properly until Monday or will I need to contact them to say I have made the payment by debit card this month?

    Thanks :)
They will still apply for the direct debit.

Capital One only stop the DD if you clear the full balance, they'll still Dd the minimum amount if you pay less than the full balance.

That, and it's far to close to the payment date for them to cancel the DD anyway.

You'll need to ensure there's enough in the bank to cover it :o

  • I've got a DD on my Capital One credit card, though I always make a debit card payment too before the DD is due to go out and supplement the upcoming payment. To be honest I like it that way. I guess unless you don't have a balance they will likely take the DD out too.

From my statement, quite clear. Do people not read them ?
Your Direct Debit payment of £xxx.xx will be taken on or within 3 working days of 19/10/11. If you make additional payments your Direct Debit will still be taken unless your balance is cleared in full.
