Sending money to Australia

  • Paypal has a new gift option which allows you to transfer money to family and friends for free within the UK. However there is a small charge for international transactions. This is probably the cheapest way to send money. It's important you select gift rather than for a purchase or service.

Because there is no purchase involved you do not get buyer protection but I guess you trust your cousin enough to not require this!

Thanks, she's now received the cash for a small fee.
  • I have often sent money to Australia, I use Paypal, used a bank once there were too many forms to fill and then they mucked it up.
