Quick question, if an account has a minimum deposit of £500 and you put £1000 in there, can you later withdraw, say, £600 so that you have less than the minimum £500 in the account?

Depends on the terms & conditions of the account concerned.
Which account are you asking about?0 -
West Brom 3.07% ISA or the Northern Rock 3.05% ISA.0

I thought somebody had already answered this!
Northern Rock only needs £1 to open.
West Brom pays 3.07% interest on amount above £1 so I guess you could withdraw some cash after you've made the initial £1000 deposit.
Please not that I've not read the full Terms & Conditions - only the summary info.0
