moving house to non cable area-can I cancel virgin media early?

got an 18month contract which ends in august 2012, might be moving to a new flat which is not in a fibre optic area, so we can get broadband and phone but not tv. Can we cancel our virgin media contract with no charges because of this?

Really don't want to carry service over as we aren't happy with them and when you move they start up another 12month contract.

Any advise greatly appreciated.

Phone them (take the "thinking of leaving" option) and ask. The chances are you'd need to take the ADSL service to avoid charges.

No you can't, if you choose to move to a non-cable area it does not void your contract. VM do not guarantee to cover all areas, and you contracted at your current address.
This one comes up regularly, but the answer does not change.

As Macman said,no you can't.It's not VM fault you're moving out of a cable dig area,even if you had no choice in the move the answer would be the same,as Kwik say's,they might offer you the ADSL service,assuming it's available in your local BT exchange.
