Wrong Data on Car Insurance Database

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.
I have had a policy with More Th>n for several years. This year, I have finally got round to 'comparing the market' and have found that I can get it much cheaper.
My insurance renewal has my one speeding fine on it, and three incidents recorded.
Windscreen claim last April, a Non- Fault incident last May, when someone went into the back of me causing minor damage, and a 'fault' incident from 2007 - which did not result in a claim (I put a minor scratch on my wing, which I paid to get fixed as it was less than my excess.)
However, when completing the online application with one company, the process came to a halt, and I was asked to ring them up.
When on the phone, I was told that on the 'Claims Underwriting Database' the incident from May last year was down as my fault.
I rang back MoreTh>n who said that they definitely have that incident as NOT my fault, but they seemed clueless as to why this other database has it as my fault, or how to go about changing it. They did offer to send out a letter which would state that it wasn't my fault, and that the claim was fully settled by the other party, which I accepted.
The new company suggested that I took out the policy on the basis of the higher premium and if I sent them in the letter, they would send me out a refund.
However, it wasn't the only quote at that price, so in the end I tried with a different company and it all went through OK.
My worry though, is that I don't like databases having the wrong information on me, and this is likely to haunt me for at least the next 4 years until it is 5years old.
Anyone got any ideas about who I should get in touch with to go about correcting this database?

How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

You can pay £10 and see for yourself what it says on CUE about you. If it's wrong then you can ask (demand) the insurer who has put on the wrong info to correct it. (Or a cheaper option, hang on to the letter and cross the bridge in future if you need to!)

I mostly agree with Quentin on this, but I would write to MoreThan and insist that they check the CUE data is accurate, and insist they correct it if they find an error. Insurance companies can view the data on CUE and hence you should not need to pay the £10 unless you do want your own confirmation.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
