    Halifax-gate

It feels good being in the 3 digit bracket. Great actually to be honest but..... I am trying to think of ways to clear it at the end of this month. Mad I know! but.... I may have some money left in my current account, I should get my hours from last month that I didn't get paid for, I have no council tax or water rates to pay, I could use some of the money in my savings account (and then replace it of course).... Thinking, thinking....

I've come to the conclusion that I always need a challenge because I'm now thinking about what I will do when I'm DF and that will be to attack my mortgage of course :-)

  • I'm super impressed with your determination....... BUT £900 is a LOT of money in one month. There's no way I could do that I could do that without a lot of sales!

I'd say split it over two months, just in case.

DF and MF - you legend! :D

  • Two months is nothing, plus you don't want to spend your savings pot. The whole point of that is for emergencies, and if you have one (god forbid) you'll have to find the money from elsewhere.

Aim for a DF summer :)

You are so right! It is just my impatience and the light at the end of the tunnel getting ever so much bigger that's making me think like that :D

I've been so busy with work and consequently so tired I forgot that my BC statement was coming in on the 21st!

Anyway, caught up with it today: Interest was £17.53 (a lot better than last month but I could still have taken my dd out for lunch with that!) making the balance £996.79. I decided to pay £300 in one go make the balance £696.79

I could have possibly paid more but my car is at the garage to have the cam belt changed and I don't want to put myself in trouble in case they find something wrong as they go along. My old lady is getting on a little :D I can always top up later on.

The light is shining really brightly now! I'm so excited! :rotfl:

I have decided I will do something to celebrate my new status when I get there but not sure what I'll do yet! Could have my debt free date tatooed :rotfl: :rotfl: (just joking!)

  • I totally love the idea of a debt free tattoo! I'd get one - maybe of the date or the LBM amount.

I think a massive picture of Martins face maybe a little OTT! :p

Hope the car (and you!) are ok

Well, as grateful as I am to Martin, he's erm... dare I say it?.... erm... not really my type :rotfl: so I wouldn't have his face tattoed!

Waiting for the garage to call back to say my car is ready. I don't like waiting lol!

  • Haha! :D I am liking the debt free tattoo. I have a few years to think of the design though!

    How's the car?
