Justwannabeloved - you have to remember that not all insurers have the same exclusions. Whilst your employers policy may or may not cover something you cannot automatically assume that all insurers are going to be the same.
Whilst I know you are trying to help it is better to say that your company doesnt cover it but to refer the poster back to either their policy documents or insurerAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

it is a geberal exclusion from the majority of insurance policies though - I used to work in a brokers, and just about evry policy with any company I came accross had this as an exclusion. The easiest way to find one that does, would be to approach the British insurance broker's association, who will be able to provide you with a list of companies that offer specific cover.

Didnt say I worked for one insurance company.
I work in a call centre where we handle claims for the many large and not so large companies. Not just one company.
Wish I hadnt bothered now. Was only trying to help, but keep getting slated.
But it is the case of needing to read exclusions. I expect most of us are guilty at some point of that though, me included, though Im more aware of my home contents & building insurance policy now than ever before.
Possible more stormy weather to come, so fences watch out.

M and S plus a couple of broker only products do I believe- always check with your own insurer though.0

Replace them with a hedge - they're cheaper, much more robust in winds or storms, greener (literally AND metaphorically!) and support the wildlife.
We're the frst house in our close and share one side of our garden with 5 others - was a nightmare with different fence styles / maintenance schedules etc. Now - a hedge down both sides and the birdlife in the garden is truly inspiring!
