Terrible CPW/O2 Dealings

I'm in the final month of my contract so gave CPW/O2 a ring to cancel a couple of days ago, and they offered me a new deal with a free Nokia N73.

I accepted the deal and the salesperson said the phone will be with me on Wednesday (yesterday) anytime between 9 and 5. So as I own a small unit and work for myself from there selling computer goods I decided not to open up and stay at home waiting for the parcel. Nothing came at all.

I expected the phone to arrive today, so again waited in and nothin at all. So I gave them a ring a few moments ago. After passing me between departments I was told my order was setup wrong!

I had to go through the whole process again of setting up the upgrade and new contract. They offered me a £10 goodwill gesture and thats it. I missed a day off work due to me waiting in for this parcel, I shouldn't moan really as that was my choice but for the order to be set up wrong!

I asked what would have happened if I hadn't of rang, and the salesperson said "the phone would never have arrived". So my original contract would have probably rolled over as the new contract (with a much better deal) was not set up and it was due to start from tomorrow (Friday)! Great!

It's now coming tomorrow, luckily someone else will be in to collect the phone for me.

Not happy at all.

  • Hi.

What deal did you get, as I'am coming to the end of my CPW O2 contract and don't kno what to get.

    Thanks
  • I first rang about 2 weeks ago. I was originally on O2 200, 200 mins, 100 texts for £30 a month. They offered me Leisure 400, 400 peak mins, but no texts, £90 cashback and a free phone.

I then rang back last week, they offered me the same deal but said I had 500 loyalty points so I would not have to pay the line rental, but the said I wouldn't get a free phone (which I needed).

When I rang back Tuesday they offered me a N73 (which I wanted), 200 mins, 500 texts (which I needed) and £150 cashback for £25 per month and so I took this deal.

Don't accept the first deal they give you, ring them back a few days later and they will offer you something different.
