JSA contributions based query

An update for those of you who responded previously.
My wife has finally received a decision and is having deductions made from her contribution based JSA based on the gross amount of her pension.
I queried this and was told the gross amount is taken into consideration if the claim is for contribution based JSA and the net amount for income based JSA.
I've looked through the Jobseekers Allowance Regulations 1996 and can find no reference made to gross and or net amounts of pension payments in respect of JSA.
It may be in a revised later amendment to the regs.
We should have lived our working lives in a council house, grabbed every benefit going and most certainly not contributed anything to our retirement years by way of savings or private pension.
Now, how can I rob a bank and get away with it!;)0
