Battery draining fast on my San Francisco Android phone!

I find that after using an app or such like, I then use the task manager and 'kill all' items that are running or have run.... with this done and turning off data unless needed I can get several days use. Obviously it kind of defeats the point of a 'always on smart phone' but I don't use apps that often and would rather have a decent battery life to use it as a phone and the data apps purely as a secondary thing.

Sounds like android System is defiantly the culprit, I would have expected the display to be using the most battery. When was the last time you re-booted?
Might be worth doing a re-boot and then check what has been using the battery again.0 -
This happened to me a little while ago. Eventually I phoned Orange customer service and they replaced the phone for me (same age as yours) saying it was a software issue.0
