Philips Airfryer or Tefal Actifry

I had an actifry for approx 18 months used only for chips twice a month on average and one day smoke billowed out the back. I would not buy a Tefal because the company know they had a problem with them but dont help people, so I will vote with my wallet and buy a Philips when I can afford it.0

Hi... my wife bought the Actifry but we had quite a few problems with it so ended up returning it. She now owns the Philips Airfryer and it is amazing. We both cook in it and pretty much every night it gets used. Our fav is chips.... Yum!
From our experience I would recommend the Philips Airfryer everytime... it is so easy to use and we haven't really found anything we can't cook in it yet.

I too and wondered about this. As far as I am aware the actifry use a little bit of oil and Philips dont, if that is the case how can it taste all that good?
Looks like Philips can use some oil. Pre cooked frozen chips apparently has some oil
