Anymore advise would be great, thank to all xx
  • well I only recieved my actifry yesterday but I love it!

Made chips & wedges and they were lovely and crisp without being greasy, I am very very impressed and as I am on weight watchers they are very low points compared to fried chips & even oven chips.

Hubby & the kids are very happy too! It does take up a chunk of space on the worktop but for me its worth it. Going to try roast potatoes in it tomorrow by removing the paddle.

I always leave the paddle in for roast potatoes too but there are only usually 2 of us unless tbe parents are here. We both joined slimming world last year so father in law bought us the actifry for christmas. Hubby is a reluctsnt follower of the plan but even he loves the actifry. Of course roast potatoes do taste better with goosefat but in the actifry they are still very nice. I've lost just under 4 stone and love using the actfry for skin on chips to go with a homemade cheeseburger! Feels so very naughty but not at all!

  • I dont usually post on these forums but i wanted to give my opinion....

I tried both the Actifry and the Philips Airfyer and the Airfryer wins every time for me - i took the actifry back within my 30 day period!! You know exactly what your getting with Philips too and personally I'd trust Philips to stand the test of time when it comes to electrical goods - I have a large family so stuff getts a lot of usage etc, and unfortunately Tefal have always let me down in that department :-(

I literally use my airfyer for everything and its so quick and easy to clean. I was sceptical at first as to exactly what i could cook and whether food would taste any different. I can honestly say it does, it tastes nicer soemhow and its healthier than most other cooking methods so its win win! Apparently you can even use it for baking - my friend has one and has done so - so im going to give that a try next!

    thanks Kim, that's really interesting.

i've had my actifry for around 10 months and so far so good.

Forgot to mention butternut squash is delicious in the actifryer without adding any fat.

Hi cabbage, just wondering about the butternut squash - does it go crispy a bit like chips?
I make butternut squash chips with 1 cal spray as a low-fat alternative to chips and they are delicious - but I can never get them crispy on the outside as with potatoes. Would seriously consider getting an actifry if it solved this problem!
