 To clarify myself to the OP. My interpretation is that even if the college state it is a full time course there are exeptions. If you show that you actually do less than 21 hours then, as in example 1, the decision maker can calculate the hours and award carers allowance.The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.             I'd like to thank you all for your answers! You've all been such a great help.
 The course is classed as full time, even though it's only 2 days a week, so I will more than likely lose carers allowance and therefore income support. I think I now have to work out if it's worth going with grants and loans and doing the study. At the end of the day, with or without carers allowance I will be a carer so my study time will be limited, but I want to make the best of what I have.
