Aldi parking Eye 11 mins over

I have now spent more time reading this forum and feel sure I should do nothing. I did send an appeal in for my ticket, I think I did nt read far enough - I used a template for an appeal on the forum.
Have now of course had an unsuccessful appeal letter from this lovely company who sent me their 'Kind regards' !?!? I did not meet their criteria! 11 mins over due to being in the Aldi Q with a none working till
Please reassure me as I can t afford to get a judgement against me (I am not working at present but do work in financial services) and the letters as everyone knows seem to say court action will be taken.
The letters are quite threatening, well I m not used to receiving this type of letter. As I stated in the letter I am on JSA so really can t afford to pay them

You have not been given a parking ticket or a fine:
From a legal prospective what you have been given is an "invitation to pay a private invoice".
You are legally within your rights to reject the invitation and keep your money:
What will happen is they will buy your private data from DVLA and send a series of menacing letters threatening to take you to court and then more letters from fake debt collectors and fake solicitors again all threatening to take you to court.
They will not take you to court as legally they have no power to fine you or charge you a penalty.
In short it is a scam of impersonation of officialdom and empty threats.
HOW TO DEAL:
IGNORE everything, ignore all letters, ignore all fake solicitors letters and ignore all fake debt collectors.
They will get fed up and move on to another victim.
IGNORE Means exactly that IGNORE, you do not appeal, there is no appeal it is part of the scam, you do not bite back, do not write or do anything to correspond and they will go away, if they call your telephone, do not confirm any information place the handset down and leave it of the hook for ten minutes .
BE WARNED evidence on these and other forums clearly describes how people who do pay these hoping they go away receive further demands for more money, often several hundreds of pounds.
PS Dont waste your time begging at Aldi, like ASDA they are in on the scam .
In future, shop somewhere that does not try to scam its customers out of money.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
For a judgement to be made against you, the case would have to go to court (very unlikely) you lose (very, very unlikely) and THEN you refuse to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. This is such a remote possibility it's not worth worrying about. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I will stay brave then and ignore - Thanks for the reassurance0

Free car-park?
Landowner has suffered nil damages
Car-park which costs say £1 for an hour?
Landowner has suffered ~ 18p in damages
You don't owe Parking Spy anything, so ignore the PPC and ignore Aldi (although check to see what the planning permissions say, if the planning permission says 2 hours free parking and Aldi are only giving say 1 hour's free parking, they are breaching planning rules and can get a rather lovely fine from the council)0 -

How do I check the planning permissions - I will just to see if they are in order but i don t know how I do this0 -
Write to Aldi head office, copied to your store, that due to a non-working till you overstayed in the car park by 11 minutes and were 'fined'.
State that unless this charge is cancelled within 7 days, you will make sure that you and friends and relatives will never shop at Aldi again.
If everyone did this, stores would think twice about employing PPC's.0 -

Save your self a stamp and don't do anything. Certainly don't pay any parking invoice either. Just ignore everything from these clowns. Continue to shop where you please and don't worry about these chancers.0 -

Why admit liability ? For a judgement to be made against you they'd have to sue the vehicle driver and not the vehicle owner, 99% of the time they can't prove the vehicle driver hence why no action is taken, The only idiots who end up in court with a judgement are those who admit liability, Then have a weak defense.
Private Parking Companies work by using 'threats' to intimidate people into paying extortionate amounts of money, I honestly think they should not allowed to do so, As they are abusing both there 'Rights' and the Legal system into making up threats.
I can well imagine for someone who doesn't have an insight into UK Law that these kind of letters would be quite threatening, Especially with the whole 'Court Action' 'Bailiffs' 'Legal Action' being mentioned.
Ignore any further correspondence from these cowboys, Expect Fake Solicitors and Debt Collection Companies to send you letters, Ignore, Ignore, Ignore.' You only live once ! Don't live to regret the past, But to enjoy the future '

Oh dear - the last two posters have completely missed my point.
Of course you should not pay these invoices
Of course you should not communicate with the PPC
BUT
By writing to the stores who employ these companies threatening to take your custom else where you are starting a train of events that may end in the PPC being sacked.
If no one employed PPC's, they would quickly go out of business.0 -
Yes Oldone, I see your point with complaining at the Store. And I guess the OP has already said who was driving in this case.
But as a rule of thumb, any letters should never say who was driving - so the OP could say summat like:
Official Complaint - Store Manager (and copy to the Head Office)
'I am the registered keeper of a car which was given a fake PCN - I object strongly to this sort of harassment and will report your Store and the Parking Company to the authorities and may take action for the criminal offence of harassment if and when their 'debt collector threatograms' (Google it) arrive.
The driver was delayed due to a non-working till and yet you allow this scam protection racket to take place in your car park against your own customers. Shame on you. Do not bother to try to tell me to 'appeal' to the Parking Company - I was deluded enough to try that but of course I have now found out from moneysavingexpert.com forums that everyone gets a template refusal letter. Do you realise this is what is happening to your customers every time a Private Parking Company 'fake PCN scam' is allowed to take place in your name, in your car park? Are you unaware that no company can fine people and it's all a con, including written threats which are sent to the keeper even if he/she was not driving?'PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
