Looks like (according to plans_all_plans) that I was wrong in terms of it not being the case anywhere.
But it certainly isn't the case around here. Around here, going to XYZ Nursery has no bearing on getting in to XYZ Primary.

I still say, then, phone the school or the LA.

Round here, nursery school on site can be feeder to primary. The rules state that there have to be some places for those that didn't attend the nursery so that full time working parents aren't discriminated against just because they couldn't fit nursery school in with their working hours. In practice the guaranteed place that attending the nursery school gives you, means that you would be taking a big risk in turning down the nursery place.

Would be interested to know how those rules are worded, silvercar.
Would you mind saying which Local Authority that is?

Just to prove that things are not the same everywhere, the nursery DD/DS went to is part of their primary school, so you apply for them to start in the September after their 3rd birthday in the nursery class and they just continue on up to year 6, you don't have to apply again.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

If you look at the admissions criteria for the school (possibly on school's website or through LEA website) it'll tell you which schools/ nursery's if any are their feeder schools, not all use that system x

But if you can't find it, mum26, does that mean that it isn't a feeder school or just that you haven't looked in the right place?

Bizarre that there are so many differences - especially Janepig's example!
