zone alarm pro actually, should i disable it?0

Zone alarm pro is usually a better programme to run networking with than the free download, although when first setting up networks its a good idea to disable it on both pc's to begin with if they work then you know you have to set it up to accept the connection.
Incidently i read in computeractive mag (this weeks) about wireless networking today, beware of cordless phones and microwaves which decrease the connection lengths.0 -
Ye Cordless phones & Equipment running at 2.4Ghz can interupt 802.11b wireless signals, but not 802.11a which runs at 5Ghz
Zonealarm can be very annoying when setting up networks, so avoid it like Cee said for the moment.0 -
Thanks to everyone for their help. I have now finally got my home network up and running, after reading every article ever posted about networking and after paying for a so called expert to have a look at it for me. So what was the problem I hear you ask. Answer..Zonealarm pro. I had disabled zonealarm on my main PC and still I couldn't connect, but I had forgot I had an older version on my other PC so when I finally disabled it away I went!
Moral of the story: when people tell you to disable zonealarm make sure every version is disabled. ;D0
