Travel Insurance and Asthma

Dear all,

Looking for single trip travel insurance for my family. We are heading to Spain. My daughter is Asthmatic and I am aware that this will affect the premium.

Can anyone recommend a company who will provide cover at a reasonable cost?

Thanks,

Kev

You could try the Asthma UK website and see if their brokers are cheaper:

The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

If it is just mild asthma try American Express, they have no problems insuring me and it doesnt make much difference to the premium. However, I think if you have had to use nebulisers or have had hospital stays I think that may affect it.

    Might be worth a try.

I think I had to do it over the phone due to the questions, rather than online.

    Sorted,

Tesco were the best (and clubcard points). She has had a hospital stay in the last 12 months. £44 was not too bad!!

    Thanks all,

www.direct-travel.co.uk cover pre-existing conditions including athsma. You have to ring a number (which they will give you) disclose all conditions and they will advise premium costs. Very reasonable imo.
