Iphone 4S Pre-order Vodafone Quidco Cashback?

I can pre-order the new Iphone 4S on Vodafone, and wonder if anyone else has seen that Quidco are offering £130 on 18 month contracts for Iphone?

It doesn't say it excludes pre-orders for the 4S, so if this is correct I can get the 16GB for (18x£46)-£130 after cashback, the phone is £59 upfront but Vodafone are offering £59 cashback on pre-orders too.

Considering the cost of the 16GB 4S is £499 sim free, the monthly tariff after cashback works out at £11.06.

I just hope for you that Voda have got better at coughing up the cash... Last time I took a contract with them they took over a year to pay up! Also remains to be seen whether or not they will try to wriggle out of paying for the 4S, even though it's not specifically excluded. If you're going to go for it, make sure you've got screenshots just in case.
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail

That was exactly what I was wondering too. I am prepared to risk is, since I will be preordering anyway, but how do I select the £130 cashback deal? It is listed in the left hand side, greyed out, as an exclusive rate expiring in 2 days for £130 for an 18/24 month iPhone contract. So how do I select that deal? The only deals I can click on are the specific iPhone 4S deals and three deals for iPhone 4/3S 16Gb with £130 cashback

They've just changed the offers!
    • £130 for an 18/24 month iPhone 3GS or 4 contract
    • £40 for an iPhone 4S contract

I just asked why on the quidco community site, no doubt a pointless exercise as I am sure they have a disclaimer somewhere saying offers can be withdrawn or changed at any time.

My feeling is that offers should not just be 'edited' before their expiry date. There was 2-3 days left on this original offer which didn't specify which iPhones were eligible for the £130.

Can you please update here if you get an answer? I thought that was pretty off too. Surely they should at least highlight that they have changed it or something.

I keep thinking I should have just gone for it first thing this morning (and taken screenshots) but it would no doubt have been withdrawn retroactively.

Will do, yes I was thinking I should have done the same this morning :(. Still £40 +£59 isn't so bad on a new release. I'm now considering the 12 month contract instead as the cashback is the same on all 4S tariffs.

    My question title on Quidco:
Vodafone iPhone 18/24 month contract £130 cashback offer gone before expiry?

Why has Vodafone £130 cashback on 18/24 month iPhone contracts gone before its expiry date? It now states 4 or 3GS only?

I was about to purchase the 4S through this offer but now there is a separate offer of only £40 for 4S contracts. This is obviously no way near the original offer which surely should not have been changed before its expiry?

The £130 offer is still available for i-phones that were available at the time the offer was first introduced and has therefore not been changed
The i-phone 4s is a new product and was never included in the original offer and as such new deals have now become available for this specific product, now that Apple have announced it's availability
  • Hey,

I pre-ordered mine on Saturday, 12 month deal, £199 up front with £59 Vodafone cashback.

I've since noticed the Quidco £40. Can I still claim this although I ordered in store? I'm thinking of cancelling and re-ordering if not to pick up the £40 but will I then not miss out on the £59 Vodafone cashback as it was an Intro offer on the 7th/8th wasn't it?

I did mine on Sunday, 16GB iPhone 4S on 24 month contract. At that time it was £59 up front - but with a £59 credit in November.

That has now gone and there is a £49 up front cost.

I too went through Quidco and the £40 has tracked.

Anybody looking now has missed the best of the offers. I couldn't touch 3 because of where I live and poor signal.
