I posted yesterday asking for opinions of the Acer Predator G5900 desktop

Is there anything comparable that isn't so bulky! (have up to £400 to spend) My family would use all the features available.

I am looking to order something this weekend

Its an ok machine for the price, doesnt say what the motherboard is though. The graphic card will struggle for the latest games that support direct X11.

What is you wan't the PC for?

Yes nice looking monitor, good contrast ratio, not the fastest refresh rate. But is ok for a analogue monitor. But if you looking for a monitor for the above PC which has DVI-D and HDMI output then why not get a full HD monitor.

Would probably spend a little bit more on the monitor and get one of these which is full HD and DVI. I think the LG you have is purely VGA.

The desktop is not cheap for what it has.

I like HP as a machine.

Can any one recommend one (similar spec as Acer)

    HP TouchSmart 610?
  • It's not too bad a price for the specification, but it would help if you can provide some more detail about what you want to use it for? Are you specifically looking for a gaming PC?

No not gaming at all, I want an all rounder I suppose.

I want something really fast and up to date with loads of storage space.

    Sorry to be vague

For a basic browsing, office style Pc, specs are lower than the first, has intergrated graphics, so that does rule out gaming. Also rules out most video editing and high end photo editing software.

But yeah for a day to day desktop PC with a small footprint the it is ideal

So Neil should I get the Acer Predator G5900 Desktop, even though it has a higher spec than I need?

If it was me, then yes. But for you I have no idea, as all you have said is you don't want it for gaming, which is very vague.
