It's a shame you are so far away as I'd happily take on Lucy! Hope you find them all good homes :)

    Update from my daughter:

    Lucy.
Eats for England, feels the need to transport 1 of the kittens under the sofa and leaves it there, then she forgets and starts looking for it again. Then she will do it again to another kitten. She likes one of them being seperate for some unknow reason.
We looked at one of the kittens and it had fresh blood on its tummy, but then we saw she had blood all over her area, he was obviously lying there. The bleedings stopped so no need to go to the vet, it was just a bit.
The little kittens are constantly fighing for her milk. Yesterday two were having a fight so we seperated them. One chewed on the others ear and the other one scratched in adn wouldnt stop.
She doesnt mind us being near or touching her/the kittens. but we refrain from tocuhing the kittens for now.
She eats a tin of the animonda a day plus some ham/chicken. And a sachet.
She also consumes dry food a lot.
They are very vocal. Very vocal.
One has a white face, 2 have white paws, 2 are darker, and 1 is like her.
I will be going there tomorrow to see the proud mum and her babies, will get some more photos then.

Thanks a million everyone for your kind offers of help, I will reply to all PM's as soon as I can... really appreciated :o

Paddypaws - thanks for the offer but I really rather Lucy gets spayed by her new owners, when we find a home for her.

She has no access to the outside at all at my daughter's place, no chance for her getting pregnant while she is there so really there is no rush.

I want to let her bring up her kitties without any major stress, she has had enough in her short life already.

Whoever decides to take Lucy on will need to promise to get her spayed ...

I hate to sound cynical, but if I were you I would get her neutered before rehoming.I'm sure the majority of people who said they would do it actually would, but sadly there are people out there who seem genuine but when it comes down to it they aren't as great as they seem. Also, what happens if the owner agrees to get Lucy done but then later decides to keep her as an indoors cat and therefore decides not to do it? What if she then gets out by mistake and gets pregnant again. Plus there are the health risks associated with a female not being neutered. Sorry to be so negative, it's because I've seem this type of thing happen before and I know you and your daughter want the best for Lucy and her kittens. :D

I know what you are saying but this may simply not be practical - I do not have a transport, neither has my daughter. She and her b/f work all week and can not take time off to take Lucy to/from vets to get her spayed, Lucy is at their place not mine - it is not walkable distance.

I will see closer to the time what we CAN do though.

Thankyou :Agr:A and :Adaughter:A - all over again - for the updates and pics.
The difference in Lucy from first to last of these is very marked - an uncertain little half-grown scrap has bloomed to a competent mum with a wise, knowing look.

What concerns me is the hour I see you posting to keep us all in the news.
Do make sure you and JoJo have the kettle on when we all pile along a bit after 3 tomorrow morning...I'll be watching the rugby not long after:D

I'll even refrain from buying the winning ticket so you can cash in on those euromillions.

    Once again - :T

I think it's great what your daughter & yourself have done. How many people wouldv'e just ignored Lucy & left her be?...quite a good few I'm sure, but you've all ensured that Lucy & the Kitties have the best start in life possible.
AND for that I doff my cap & say 'THANK YOU!'

I'd love to send your daughter some help, but unfortunatly I'm in the same situation as you,(on ESA for a heart condition) so all I can do is say a prayer for you all & offer my best wishes.

I'm sure you will do everything you can do :-) You have most probably saved the poor kitties' lives

Which is why I am happy to offer transport to help out. this is a genuine case where charity is warranted and it would save a prospective owner £60 in vet fees.

Thanks for the threads, getting ready :T Such beautiful mom and kittens, I am sure you will find loving homes for them all. It's a good job I live so far away, otherwise I could see our menagerie rising from 5 to 6 :rotfl:
