    Appeal it.

Many decisions are being overturned when they know you will appeal a decision.

Ask for a GL24, and give reasons for your appeal.

Have a look at the descriptors:

Totally agree with this. They are always too eager to impose decisions to the detriment of the claimant in the hope that they will just give up. As soon as they realise that you won't give up easily and prepared to fight they usually back down.

When appealing, give as much detail as possible - I mean every minute thing applicable to your case. Also write to your mp. Most of all, NEVER GIVE UP - they'll try allsorts of tricks to make you quit - just have to bear it and fight them all the way!

Did you pay for the knee op or was it done on the nhs. As the pct won't fund a knee replacement based on my age. what of course would help is losing weight, so they are funding a gastric band.I meet the criteria for that based on the obstructive sleep apnoea.

I went private, but my Dr did say if the Consultant wouldn't do the op because of my age then she would refer me to NHS, it would just be a longer process.
Nobody but me realised how bad my knees were, I knew the pain and difficulty I had just trying to stand up, so I asked the Dr if I could see a specialist but she said I needed an x ray first. When she got the x ray report she rang me up and told me I needed to make a descision about surgery. It was me who suggested I went private as I needed a solution quickly because my walking and getting around was almost unbearable.
I am about 2 stone overweight but I'm hoping to sort that out once the knees are up and running (so to speak), so it wasn't really a weight issue that had caused the damage.
Have you had an x ray outtawork, because it was seeing the results of the x ray that started the ball rolling for me.

That's because the government had no money left. Big debts problem. The government want all of us get back into work as I know some of us who are GENUINE illness and was award 0 point is disgraceful, disgusting and the only way is to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT back and bite the government!

Labour Ed Midiband want ATOS medical to be scrapped and he will if he win the election in 2015.

    Vote for LABOUR PARTY.

TORIES want all benefits cut into 1 benefit in 2015 and that is JSA only. DON'T VOTE THE TORIES!

Don't know where you got this information from, but Labour have already said that they are backing the government on the benefits system. with the universal credits, and atos.

Indeed and they were the ones who came up with this system and gave the contract to ATOS in the first place!

I agree with Cit_k for a change, and I have said it before myself, ATOS are just the sub-contractor.

ATOS are an IT firm. They have no speciality in medical assessments as an organisation.

If they are replaced by another firm the new firm are highly likely to recruit the same people ATOS did and end up with the same results. Prior to ATOS taking over in northern Ireland the assessments were done by departmental doctors, using handwritten reports rather than LIMA generated ones, yet the results were almost exactly the same. Now ATOS have taken over in northern Ireland too and the results are still the same.[/QUOTE]

    That is very interesting.
    Thanks
